Gregg Bell, PhD — Assistant Professor

Gregg Bell, PhD, is a senior data analyst for the Department of Community Medicine and Population Health and the College’s Institute for Rural Health Research.

Bell is involved in many data-centered activities of the College, including the management, analysis, and reporting of data for College faculty and other internal uses as well as for outside publication.

Bell earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He received a master’s degree in Finance and a PhD in Educational Research, both from The University of Alabama.

His research interests include data management and analysis, probabilistically sampled data, weighted data and sampling. He serves on the national steering committee for the State Data Center Network of the US Census Bureau.
