Travis Parker, NRP, is the Emergency Medical Services program specialist for the Institute for Rural Health Research at the College of Community Health Sciences.

Travis, under the direction of the EMS Director, is responsible for EMS oversight in the 14 county West Alabama region. He assists the counties with licensure, training and oversight of the different agencies within those counties.

Travis is a Nationally Registered Paramedic and licensed by the State of Alabama as a Paramedic. He received his associate’s degree in fire science management from Shelton State Community College. He is a member of the National Association of EMTs.
