This application is intended for new projects within the UA-Pickens County Partnership, for the upcoming 2018-19 Academic Year. The forms to request Continuation Funding for existing projects will be made available directly to project directors. Project proposals may be submitted by a UA Faculty member(s) from any College or from organizations in Pickens County. Please review the following expectations when applying for the UA Pickens County Project Grant:
Projects must address an identified health-related priority or concern within Pickens County, Alabama.
Each project must include at least one Pickens County agency or entity as a partner, and at least one UA faculty member.
Each project must involve University of Alabama students/learners in the project.
The project must begin by June 1, 2018. When applying please consider that you will be working on this project during the summer months.
Include an evaluation component for the project that measures some “reach” or achievement and articulates a path towards sustainability.
Each Principal Investigator/Project Director is expected to be committed to spending the necessary time in Pickens County in order to build relationships with the partner agency or agencies. This will ensure success toward sustainability.
By submission of this proposal, the submitters and partners are confirming an understanding of these expectations as conditions for funding.
