Students take college courses for credit, attend tutorials and seminars, shadow physicians and other health-care professionals and participate in field trips to rural medical facilities.
MOORE Scholars (Medical Opportunities and Outreach in Rural Education)
This program is exclusively for rural Alabama high school students currently in 12th grade who plan to enter college in the next academic year.

Tuition, books, housing and meals are provided
Participants live on campus with counselors and have access to the UA Student Recreation Center and other campus facilities
Participants are responsible for transportation to and from the program, as well as personal expenses
