Dr. Eliana Costantino Burgazzi joined the College of Community Health Sciences as assistant professor of family, internal, and rural medicine. She will also care for patients at University Medical Center, which CCHS operates. Burgazzi, a native of Caracas, Venezuela, received her medical degree from Central University of Venezuela School of Medicine in Caracas. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley at Knapp Family Medicine Residency Program in Weslaco, Texas. She also completed an Obstetrics Fellowship at CCHS. Burgazzi has certifications in Advance Life Support in Obstetrics, Pediatric Advance Life Support, and Advance Cardiovascular Life Support.
