Dr. Crystal Dillard joined CCHS as a clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. Before joining the College, Dillard was clinic director at The University of Alabama Psychology Clinic and held a clinical faculty position with UA’s Psychology Department. Before coming to the University, she spent 10 years in clinical practice at Children’s of Alabama in the Behavioral Health Department, conducting both inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy and psychological assessment services. Dillard is certified as a therapist and trainer in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for young children with disruptive behaviors and their caregivers. She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from UA. She also completed a pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center and Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities in Memphis, Tennessee.
