The College of Community Health Sciences hosted its 1st Annual Distinguished Faculty and Staff Awards April 22. The award ceremony recognized individuals for their hard work, excellence and dedication to CCHS and its medical practice, University Medical Center.

Distinguished Innovation Award
Recognizes excellence in innovation in research, quality improvement or college operations.
Faculty: Dr. Robbin Young, assistant professor and chief nursing officer
Staff: Jake Jones, director of finance
Distinguished Teaching Award
Recognizes excellence in teaching, mentorship and curricular innovation.
Faculty: Dr. Brett Bentley, associate professor of sports medicine
Staff: Ashley Galbraith, assistant director of medical student education
Distinguished Patient Care Award
Recognizes excellence in patient care, clinical operations and patient experience.
Faculty: Suzanne Henson, assistant professor of family, internal, and rural medicine and registered dietitian at UMC.
Staff: Sandra Watson, nursing and clinical research at UMC.
Distinguished Professionalism Award
Recognizes excellence in exemplifying teamwork, integrity, ethical conduct and respect for all.
Faculty: Andrea Wright, assistant professor and director of the CCHS Health Sciences Library.
Staff: Danielle Spree, clinical care quality and health informatics manager at UMC.
Distinguished Service Award
Recognizes excellence in going above and beyond to serve the College, University and/or the broader community.
Faculty: Dr. Joy Bradley, assistant professor of community medicine and population health.
Staff: Julia Martin, external relations coordinator.
