Residents and faculty attend annual recruiting conference

Residents and faculty of The University of Alabama Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program met medical students and prospective family medicine residents at the FUTURE 2025 conference held July 31-Aug. 2 in Kansas City, Mo.

The annual three-day conference, formerly known as the American Academy of Family Physicians National Conference for Medical Students and Family Medicine Residents, is the nation’s largest gathering of medical students and family medicine residents.

The event offers workshops, presentations and an expo where attendees can explore career paths in family medicine, connect with residency programs, and network with peers and leaders in the family medicine field.

The UA Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program, operated by the College of Community Health Sciences, is one of the oldest and largest family medicine residences in the United States. During the three-year program, residents are educated and trained in academic and community environments and learn to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
