Dr. David Chandran joined CCHS as an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. He will also care for patients as a psychiatrist in the Betty Shirley Clinic at University Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, which CCHS operates. Chandran earned his medical degree from Kurnool Medical College in India and completed two residencies, one in Opthalmology at Christian Medical College Hospital in Vellore, India, and the other at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa. In addition, he completed a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry from the University of Maryland in College Park.
Dr. Gabrielle Cordaro joined CCHS as an assistant professor in the Department of Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine. She will also care for patients as a family medicine physician at University Medical Center clinics in Tuscaloosa and Livingston, as well as at the UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy. CCHS operates both UMC and the SHCP. Cordaro earned her medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in The Bottom, Caribbean Netherlands. She completed her residency at The University of Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program, also operated by the College. In addition, Cordaro completed a family medicine obstetrics fellowship at CCHS.
Dr. Dustin Marshall joined CCHS as an assistant professor in the Department of Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine. He also cares for patients as a family medicine and sports medicine physician at University Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, which CCHS operates. Marshall earned his medical degree from the UAB Heersink School of Medicine in Birmingham, Ala., and completed his residency at Prisma Health Family Medicine Residency in Columbia, S.C.
Dr. Hui Wang joined CCHS as an assistant professor in the Department of Community Medicine and Population Health. Previously, he served as a research data analyst with the Institute for Rural Health Research, which is operated by CCHS. Wang earned his master’s and doctoral degree in applied statistics from The University of Alabama.
