The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology teaches and trains medical students, resident physicians and fellows to provide optimal care for women at all stages of their lives and advances the field of gynecology and obstetrics through innovative treatment programs and specialized research. Learners receive education and training in leading-edge women’s health services and in the latest advances in female health care, including training in high-risk obstetrical care, ultrasound, colposcopy and minimally invasive robotic surgery. The department’s five faculty also deliver prenatal and other maternal health services as well as gynecology care in outlying rural communities.
