Meet the psychiatry residents

Dr. Niju Khatiwada earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and sociology from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C., and received her medical degree from the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, Va. Her clinical interests include child psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. 

Dr. Christopher Lane earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga., and received his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Ga. 

Dr. Kate Marshall earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss., and received her medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, Ala. Her clinical interests include adult outpatient psychiatry, with a particular focus on geriatric psychiatry. 

Dr. Haris Rehman earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in Lowell, Mass., and received his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Fla. His clinical interests include addiction psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, sleep medicine and consultation-liaison psychiatry.  

Dr. Kartik Reddy earned a bachelor’s degree in physiology from Rice University in Houston, Texas, and received his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. His clinical interests include sports psychiatry.  

Dr. Jacob Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson, Texas, and received his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He has a special interest in child psychiatry.
