Ellen Lorenzen, MD, is a Obstetrics Fellow with The University of
Alabama College of Community Health Sciences.

Lorenzen, who is from Waterford, Ontario (Canada), received a bachelor’s
degree in human kinetics from the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario. She
received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Health
Sciences (St. Kitts). She completed her residency at The University of Alabama
Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program. She has a special interest in
rural medicine and geriatrics.

After her fellowship training, Lorenzen plans to practice rural full-spectrum
family and geriatric medicine.
