Meenakshi Arora, PhD — Associate Professor

Dr. Meenakshi Arora is associate professor of Biomedical Sciences with the College of Community Health Sciences and a research scientist with The University of Alabama Center for Convergent Bioscience & Medicine. Her current research includes development of responsive delivery systems, novel synthesis of functional polymers and modifying existing polymers for diagnostics and delivery. She worked previously as a research scientist at Texas A&M University. Arora earned a PhD in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee, India. Her doctoral work involved development of chromatographic methods for separating enantiomers and racemic mixtures. She has postdoctoral experience in multidisciplinary settings such as toxicology and supramolecular chemistry.
