Dr Vivekanand Bhardwaj is a pharmaceutical product development scientist with over 15 years of experience in academia and industry. His expertise includes solubility enhancement, drug dissolution, and complex dosage forms like nano-particles, nano-emulsions and amorphous solid dispersions.

Before his current assignment in Drug Product Design at Pfizer, he has worked at Dr Reddy’s Labs (India), BDD Pharma (UK), Purdue University, and Fresenius Kabi (USA) towards preformulation, formulation development, and advanced characterization for oral solids as well as injectables. He has contributed to more than 25 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and patents, and has been involved in the development of several pharmaceutical products approved for human use.

As an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alabama, Dr. Bhardwaj has committed to mentoring students for the pace, operational nuances, and regulatory requirements involved in translating laboratory innovations to the patient-centric solutions sought by the pharmaceutical industry.
