Randi Henderson-Mitchell, PhD — Assistant Professor

Randi J. Henderson-Mitchell, PhD, MBA, is assistant professor in the Department of Community Medicine and Population Health and investigator with the Institute for Rural Health Research in the College of Community Health Sciences. Dr. Henderson-Mitchell also serves as the Associate Director for the National Institute on Forensics. Dr. Henderson-Mitchell’s research interests include health disparities, health outcomes research and program evaluation. Her current research efforts include disparities and outcomes of childhood vaccination, and access to preventive care in early childhood.

Henderson-Mitchell earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, a Master of Science in Education in Health Education from Baylor University, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in health care management from The University of Alabama. She received her PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on health outcomes research and epidemiology from The University of Alabama. Henderson-Mitchell teaches basic epidemiology and biostatistics courses for the Department of Community Medicine and Population Health.
