Joseph Mestayer, MD, is a resident with The University of Alabama Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program.
Mestayer, who is from Pascagoula, MS, received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Alabama and his master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Mississippi. He received his medical degree from the University of of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, MS. He has special interests in primary care, rural medicine, and sports medicine.
After residency, Mestayer plans to pursue a sports medicine fellowship before practicing outpatient family medicine.
