Jacob Guin, MD — Assistant Professor

Dr. Jacob Guin is assistant professor in the Department of Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine. He will also care for patients at University Medical Center clinics in Tuscaloosa and Carrollton, Ala. Guin earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Rural Community Health from The University of Alabama. He received his medical degree from the UA School of Medicine (now the UAB Marinex E. Heersink School of Medicine) and completed his residency at the UA Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program, which is operated by UA’s College of Community Health Sciences. Guin completed his master’s degree while in the College’s Rural Medical Scholars Program. The program was founded to address the shortage of primary care physicians in Alabama’s rural communities.
