Dr. Jonathan Baccus is assistant professor with the Department of Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine. He salso care for patients as an internal medicine physician at University Medical Center, which the College operates. Baccus received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating magna cum laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, Ala. Baccus has special interests in aging and in exercise and preventive medicine, as well as in improving medical education in the community.
