Candace is the Program Coordinator for the Tuscaloosa Rural Pre-Medical Internship Program, where she plays a vital role in shaping opportunities for aspiring healthcare professionals. Originally from Millport, AL, Candace is deeply connected to the region and its needs. She graduated from The University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in communications and earned a master's in Psychology from Arizona State University.
With a background rooted in rural Alabama, Candace is passionate about improving access to high-quality healthcare in underserved communities. Her interests focus on raising awareness of the critical importance of mental healthcare, as well as advocating for individuals and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
