Jacob W. Guin, MD

Clinical Assistant Professor

Dr. Jacob Guin is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family, Internal,
and Rural Medicine at the College of Community Health Sciences. He also cares for patients at University Medical
Center clinics in Tuscaloosa and Carrollton, Ala. Guin earned a bachelor’s
degree and a master’s degree in Rural Community Health from The
University of Alabama. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of
Medicine and completed his residency at the UA Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency
Program, which is operated by CCHS.
Guin completed his master’s degree while in the College’s Rural Medical
Scholars Program. The program was founded to address the shortage of
primary care physicians in Alabama’s rural communities.
