Dr. Pamela Payne-Foster, professor of community medicine and population health with CCHS, received funding from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for a Tri-State Area Lupus Outreach and Clinical Trial Education Program. The program helps to increase awareness of lupus-related health disparities and produce clinical-based interventions to reduce those disparities in racial and ethnic minority populations.
Dr. Martha Crowther, associate dean for Research and Health Policy and professor of community medicine and population health with CCHS, was named chair of the CCHS Department of Community Medicine and Population Health. She served previously as interim chair.
