Dr. Tom Weida, associate dean for clinical affairs at the College of Community Health Sciences, was recognized by CHEST Journal for serving as an article reviewer during the past year. Weida is also chief medical officer of University Medical Center, which the College operates, and a family medicine physician. “You have been identified as one of our top reviewers for the year, and we genuinely appreciate the time you have dedicated to this task,” Dr. Peter Mazzone, the journal’s editor-in-chief, said in a letter to Weida. “The success of the journal is dependent on the timely provision of high-quality reviews by volunteers like you.” CHEST is a peer-reviewed medical journal covering chest diseases and related issues, including pulmonology, cardiology, thoracic surgery, transplantation, breathing, airway diseases and emergency medicine. The journal was established in 1935.
