Andrew Harrell, MD

Dr. Andrew Harrell is a clinical associate professor at the College of Community Health Sciences. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and is board certified in surgery.
Harrell graduated magna cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Ala., with a bachelor's degree and earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He completed residency training in general surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School, where he served as chief resident. Additionally, Harrell completed a research and clinical fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the Carolinas Laparoscopic and Advanced Surgery Program at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
