About the Program
Translational science is an interdisciplinary field that bridges the gap between laboratory research and clinical practice while focusing on generating scientific and operational innovations that address health challenges.
The Master of Science (MS) in Translational Science and Medicine is an 18-month program that teaches students to transform laboratory discoveries into real-world solutions that improve health outcomes. The program’s combination of coursework and practical training gives graduates a competitive edge for medical school, Ph.D. programs or research-intensive roles in biomedical or pharmaceutical industries.
Students have opportunities for hands-on research, including industry internships and collaboration with industry partners on Capstone Projects that address real-world research problems. Students complete core classes in translational science, biostatistics and entrepreneurship, and they have opportunities to take electives in immunology, pharmacology and drug discovery to tailor to their career goals.
