Rachel Butler-Sarvaunt, MD

Dr. Rachel Butler-Sarvaunt is a resident with The University of Alabama Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program, which is operated by the College of Community Health Sciences.
Butler-Sarvaunt, who is from Eva, Ala., received her bachelor’s degree in biology and her master’s degree in biomedical and health sciences from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She received her medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, Ala. She has special interests in obstetrics, rural medicine and women’s health.
After residency, Butler-Sarvaunt plans to pursue an obstetrics fellowship before practicing full-spectrum family medicine in a rural Alabama community.
