Kelly Archer, a case manager at University Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, received an honorable mention in Case Management Institute’s 2022 Case Management Week Essay Contest. The title of her essay is “Case managers are at the forefront of quality measures.” In her essay, Archer describes case managers as “professionals who prevent patients’ needs from slipping through the cracks while keeping an entire care team in the loop through effective communication.” Archer’s essay will also be published in the CMSA Chicago 5th Anniversary Case Managers Storybook, which will be released in March 2023.
