Dr. Joy Ge joined CCHS as an assistant professor of behavioral medicine. She will also care for patients at University Medical Center clinics in Tuscaloosa and Demopolis. CCHS operates UMC. Ge earned her bachelor’s degree in anthropology and master’s degree in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. She received her medical degree from Lewis Katz School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa., and completed her family medicine residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie, Pa. Ge completed a Behavioral Health Fellowship at CCHS. Her current research focuses on the association between patient-physician trust and psychiatric outcomes.
