Dr. Ansley Baccus joined CCHS as assistant professor in the Department of Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine. She will also care for patients as a family medicine physician at University Medical Center, which the College operates. Baccus received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating magna cum laude. She received her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed her residency at The University of Alabama Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program. Baccus has special interests in adolescent and preventive medicine and in improving medical education in the community.

Dr. Jonathan Baccus joined CCHS as assistant professor in the Department of Family, Internal, and rural Medicine. He will also care for patients as an internal medicine physician at University Medical Center, which the College operates. Baccus received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating magna cum laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, Ala. Baccus has special interests in aging and in exercise and preventive medicine, as well as in improving medical education in the community.
