Dr. Scott Thomas joined the College of Community Health Sciences as assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine and as a neuro-hospitalist with the College’s Capstone Hospitalist Group. The Ashford, Alabama, native completed an undergraduate degree and a Master’s in Public Health Degree at The University of Alabama. He earned his medical degree at the UAB School of Medicine in Birmingham, where he also completed a neurology residency, serving as chief resident. Thomas has special interests in acute stroke treatment and secondary stroke prevention.
