Brook Hubner, MEd, is director of Medical Student Affairs for the College of Community Health Sciences.
Hubner provides leadership and oversight for programs that support medical students and their education experience. She oversees student success programs at the Tuscaloosa Regional Campus for the University of Alabama School of Medicine, including career development, academic progression, crisis intervention and student organizations and programming. Hubner works closely with senior leadership and faculty at the School of Medicine and the College to strengthen and enhance the quality of the student body and their medical education experience.
Hubner received a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in education from the University of Florida. She received a certificate in medical education from the University of Cincinnati Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and is pursuing a PhD in educational psychology. Her background spans corporate and academic fields including developing educational material as a technical writer for IBM Corporation and serving as the editorial coordinator for the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing. Her primary areas of interest are learning and motivation and professional identity formation.
