Randi Henderson-Mitchell, PhD, MBA
Assistant Professor
Dr. Randi J. Henderson-Mitchell is an assistant professor in the Department of Community Medicine and Population Health and an investigator with the Institute for Rural Health Research, both in the College of Community Health Sciences. She also serves as the associate director for the National Institute on Forensics. Henderson-Mitchell’s research interests include health disparities, health outcomes research and program evaluation. Her current research efforts include disparities and outcomes of childhood vaccination, and access to preventive care in early childhood.
Henderson-Mitchell earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, a Master of Science in Education in Health Education from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in health care management from The University of Alabama. She received her PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on health outcomes research and epidemiology from UA. Henderson-Mitchell teaches basic epidemiology and biostatistics courses for the Department of Community Medicine and Population Health.
