The University of Alabama Student Health Center and Pharmacy’s ability to provide psychiatric services is limited at this time. Please contact the Student Health Center at (205) 348-6262 for scheduling and referral options.

If you are experiencing a crisis, call the UA Counseling Center at (205) 348-3863 and ask to immediately speak with a counselor. You can also
walk-in to the Center, located at 3000 South Lawn Office Building (1101 Jackson Avenue, across from the UA Law
Center), and ask to speak with a counselor. The Center is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am to 5 pm and Tuesday from 9am to 5pm. The Center is closed
during official UA holidays.

Outside of these days and hours, contact the UA Police Department at (205) 348-5454 and ask to speak with the on-call counselor.

You can also text BAMA to 741-741 to text with a trained volunteer.

Appointments

Schedule an appointment by accessing the SHCP patient portal on the myBama student page or calling 205-348-6262. The SHCP does both Telemedicine and in-person office
visits for students.

Clinic Services

The SHCP has opened the web appointments for telemedicine. Students must call 205-348-2778 or 205-348-0386 to request visits for services related to women’s health,
nutrition, psychiatry, dermatology and allergy.
